What happened
Russian forces hit a major bridge in Kyiv that connects the left and right banks of the Dnipro River, as well as a logistics center near the capital overnight, in the latest series of drone attacks on Ukraine’s civil infrastructure. The strike on Northern Bridge comes after repeat attacks on another major bridge in recent days. Mayor Vitali Klitschko says Kyivans can no longer pretend it is ‘peacetime’ amid strikes on school, hospital and bridge Valeriya Tkachenko was dropping her son off at school in central Kyiv when the air raid alert sounded.
